A little background check.

The deceased, Steenkamp a 29-year-old model and law graduate, died in a small toilet cubicle when Pistorius shot her four times through the locked door just after 3am on Valentine's day last year.  Pistorius acknowledged that he shot Steenkamp, but said that he mistook her for an intruder. Pistorius was taken into police custody and was formally charged with murder in a Pretoria court on 15 February 2013. 

So, did Oscar Pistorius realize that it was his girlfriend whom he was shooting?

Well we can speculate as much as we like, but does that do any good when

Anyways, coming to the question of whether he knew that he was shooting his girlfriend ?

Yes of course he did. The prosecution was a frickin' joke!

My opinion, based on what information I have, is it is most unlikely that he didn't know his girlfriend was in his bathroom when he shot through the door.
There was screaming! I have to believe at least some of it was from her(if you have heard the released tape), don't you think? If someone was shooting or threatening to shoot at me, I would be yelling my arse off. That's just instinctive right?

She had been in bed with him (according to testimony) just a short while before. He claims he didn't know that she was not in bed because it was dark. That dark? Our eyes adjust to the darkness at night and most of us can see the outlines of things as large as a human. If I was grabbing my gun for an intruder I'd be sure of where ALL my loved ones were before I shot towards anyone.

Secondly if  there was an intruder, why would they lock the bathroom door unless their intention was to steal the fuckin' bath taps? It makes no sense! 

UNLESS if you can take it to the next level of Bullcrap that Pistorius has fed the court and say that

He thought it was a burglar taking a sh*t in the wee hours of the morning. 

Why, of course he did son!

there is no logical reason for there to be blood on the bat and that being not from her head. Please, after shooting the supposed intruder, could he not see that it was his dead girlfriend on the floor! Or you are thinking that, OK so it was 3 a.m and he was probably too sleepy to decide anything so he just decided to bash the head open of the dead guy/girl!.
For gods sake, be real guys!

Now someone has theorized that 

• Reeva Steencamp's bladder was empty which proved that she had been in the bathroom to urinate

Again, that makes no sense. But even if it meant something, this person obviously didn't know that when someone dies, their body evacuates all the urine in the bladder and the colon releases all fecal matter. There's just no muscle tension to hold it in! Duh!

You should know that Pistorius was known to be careless with his guns. So much so that, once he accidently fired his gun in a restaurant, while playing around, and asked a friend to take the responsibility.

He was known to be very jealous and Steencamp's texts prove he frightened her at times.
There's enough there, to make me believe, he had a good idea she was in that bathroom and had lost control of his temper and she paid for it with her life.

As far as his Career is concerned! Well he can continue playing.
But not before he completes some good 15-20 years in Jail!

might be last you are seeing going down into his kitty !

As I have said Earlier. We can only Speculate! So the only person who will ever truly know what happened is him! I hope his conscience deprives him of a seconds peace for the rest of his miserable existence because as far as I am concerned he has gotten away with Murder!
